The BLUSH San Francisco PornFilmFestival is a multi-generational celebration of the industry’s history, and a look forward to the innovations of today’s adult filmmakers. We aim to celebrate the creativity and craft of films that push the genre.
Our hybrid online/in-person festival opens August 16th at historic Brava Theater in San Francisco’s vibrant Mission District and streams online August 17th-31st, 2025 to audiences around the world. Our festival continues its commitment to inclusivity for those who cannot travel to attend by presenting a virtual venue accessible to an international audience.

The BLUSH San Francisco PornFilmFestival seeks to showcase the creativity and craft of adult-oriented filmmaking from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Inspired by numerous adult film events, we want to specifically thank the PornFilmFestival Berlin for its namesake and guidance in forming a new American landmark festival.
Half a century ago, San Francisco broke ground as the first city in the United States to host a public screening of hardcore sex, with the International Erotic Film Festival at the Presidio Theatre. Over 50 years later, topics of sexual rights and free speech are as relevant now as they were in 1970. Our festival aims to honor the city’s sexual cinematic history and sex-positive legacy — both at the local cinema and online with a global audience of artists and change makers.
